Audit Symposium

AUDIT & INVESTIGATION SYMPOSIUM (AIS) 2010

This Audit & Investigation Symposium 2010 is part of an annual event for Final Year Students of Bachelor of Accounting (Hons.), Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus. This event is a continuation to the Internal Audit Symposium 2007, Corporate Governance Symposium 2008 and the Accounting Theory and Practise Symposium 2009 which have been successfully organised by previous final year students.

As for this year, the organisation of this event will involve some 170 students in collaboration with the professional accountancy bodies, relevant regulatory agencies and industry participants. Prominent guest speakers from academia and practitioners from relevant industry will be invited to this symposium.

Through this programme, UNITEN will be able to train these final year students to acquire not only academic knowledge but also to develop relevant project management skills which are necessarry when organizing a large scale event such as the Audit & Investigaton Symposium 2010. Therefore, this symposium serves as a stepping stone for these students to equip themselves with the required knowledge and skills sets before they enter the job market and thus meets the aspiration of UNITEN to generate professionals by producing quality graduates with high competency.
